FriendlyPA is a China-focused marketing initiative, founded by Idea Foundry, and jointed by State of Pennsylvania government and two economic development strategic partners. It was officially launched in China around May 2014. •Direct responsibility for FriendlyPA’s promotion in China (Beijing and Chengdu, etc), research, market exploitation, consultancy and client relationship maintenance, and Beijing team building and management;•Prepared initial project documents, such as preliminary letters of intent, marketing materials and budget plan for Rep office establishment in Beijing, and made constant adjustments to the original plans and implementation strategies;•Identified and leveraged opportunities through online and offline events, such as education expo, campus visit, seminars and webinars, reached out to potential partners and perspective students for FriendlyPA member schools, as well as built an initial database with 200+ student contacts and 50+ organisations;•Provided consulting services to interested students and parents, regarding education resources in PA, and advice on application and studying, living and careers in the States; worked with over 10 education agencies and schools with partnership interests, and assisted them with communication with PA member schools, and collaboration materials preparation;

Researched prospective speakers in the technology, government and academia fields for needs assessment events;Liaised with related humanitarian organizations and other units in Red Cross, and cultivated potential partnerships;Assisted in revising project concept notes, preparing communication plan, event agenda and breakout activities;Managed day-to-day operations and event logistics, and collecting info on seminar topics.
