As a recent Biochemistry graduate from the University of Salford, I am passionate about merging my formal education in the natural sciences with my self-taught expertise in computer science. I graduated with a 2:1 and have a strong foundation in biochemistry, enhanced by my hands-on experience in an industrial wet-lab during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience solidified my interest in the research areas of medicine and drug discovery.Currently, I am exploring the intersection of technology and science, particularly in the fields of computational biology and computational chemistry. My dissertation, which involved molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, sparked a keen interest in integrating machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) into scientific research. I am continuously expanding my knowledge through online courses in computer science to stay at the forefront of these advancements.In addition to my academic and research pursuits, I work as a freelance swim teacher for both adults and children. This role has honed my skills in communication, patience, and leadership. While I enjoy this work, I am eager to transition into a career aligned with my degree, ideally in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or any laboratory-based role that leverages my skills and interests.I am excited about the prospect of contributing to innovative research and developments in the scientific community. I am actively seeking opportunities to apply my background in biochemistry and computational sciences to real-world problems, and I am particularly interested in roles that allow for collaboration, continuous learning, and the application of cutting-edge technology.
