Senior Consultant specialising in R, Analytics & Data Science.The Management Decision Analytics (MDA) team at Barnett Waddingham works with a range of clients to utilise data and analytics to achieve their business goals. We have worked with businesses in all sectors to provide financial benchmarking tools, risk management dashboards, R training and development courses and much more.Previously I spent 5 years working in the Data Science division of the ESFA, in the DfE. Here I worked my way from Junior Data Engineer in the Data Warehousing team, to Senior Data Scientist in the Predictive Analytics team. I also lead on developing the DfE R Community and administrating the Department's RStudio Connect deployment platform.During my time at the DfE I also completed a part-time MSc in Data Science, passing with Distinction and receiving an 'Outstanding' mark for my thesis, titled 'Biologically Plausible Deep Learning: Learning in Artificial Neural Networks without Backpropagation of Error'.
