Created automatic one tool process for all threads that resulted in csunk higbee'd taper free first fit zero comp threads with 80 percent cycle time reduction in materials more difficult than inconel 718▪ Highlights: o Developed lights-out process for manufacture of minuscule and extremely precise hermetically sealed micro capsules from novel custom alloy deemed ‘unmachinable’ from the manufacturer. Extended tool life from seconds to hours. o Created over-mold tooling for custom selectively embedded semiconductor sensor assemblies. Critical dimensionality to .0002”, optical surface finishes, and no observable parting or flash lines delivered▪ Challenging material development repeating monthly: Sapphire, tungsten carbide, ALON (Aluminum oxynitride), Kovar, Invar, Inconel, Toughmet, custom refractory alloys & elemental metals.

▪ Became first and likely still only machinist in the world to successfully machine test part and deliver functional parts out of Sandvik Coromants Osprey CE6 and CE7 ultra low machinability controlled expansion silicon alloy. Extremely brittle and fragile.▪ Developed completely novel and disruptive approach to friction stir welding using only off the shelf commonly available affordable CNC Machines. Developed custom stir tool geometry for use in common 40 taper tool holders and utilized both active and passive cooling to control heat soak. Logged enough data to accurately predict amounts of thermal expansion and attendant size and shape requirements in constrained parent bodys with lids of much lower mass resulting in reliable low cost production of fully homogenous sealed chambers. ▪ Setup manufacturing operations from scratch.▪ Purchase machines, hire and train employees, resolve personnel issues▪ Aid in design engineering with DFM in mind, create process and programs for all parts using Mastercam▪ Manage growth and maintain organizational principles with six-sigma methodology, institute shop principles▪ Allocate and schedule resources to ensure on time delivery, manage and assist subcontracting services▪ Constantly monitor shop safety and propagate safety protocol and acquire ISO certification
