I've worked in the financial services and startups for most of my career, after graduating from Columbia College in NY in the 1990s. I studied history and languages in college, and I began my career building relationships in financial services at Montgomery Securities in my hometown of San Francisco.While pursuing my MBA at the Kellogg School at Northwestern, I participated in and led several clubs and activities such as the tech conference, the VC club, and Special K. After Kellogg, I worked in BD for a few early fintech and music software startups, then joined SoFi in early 2012 during its first year. During my six years at the company, I fundraised for the firm's first loan funds, led the first investor relations efforts, created several business development alliances, acted as a spokesperson, and ultimately led the advisory team that launched its wealth management division, SoFiWealth, now called SoFi Invest. In '18 I earned my CFP® & in ‘19 joined an independent, fee-only financial planning firm called Chicory Wealth. At Chicory, I honed my skills as a holistic financial planner and I also acquired the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation. I enjoy being a connector, a listener, a collaborator, and a problem solver, and I’m excited to bring that skill set to Cantata Wealth as a Co-Founder and Financial Advisor. In financial planning, I’ve found a path that enables me to do meaningful work for my clients. The life planning process I follow is individualized and includes financial management strategies like investment management, cash flow and spending, charitable giving, retirement savings, tax planning, estate planning, education planning, and insurance advice. I enjoy balancing work with time spent with family and friends, pursuing outdoor activities such as trail riding, cycling, and skiing, as well as cooking and traveling.
