I’m a business development executive who helps creating legal-tech solutions for corporate legal departments and law firms.With a Law Degree from the Lisbon Law School and after years of practicing, I decided to try the adventure of combining my two passions: Law and Technology. So it was in 2007 when I joined the Portuguese Ministry of Justice, as one of the first “outsider” positions to the CITIUS project – well known by Portuguese lawyers. I performed a massive set of training actions across the country on Citius and on law practice digital transformation that was taking its first steps at that time. This intensive activity as a trainer and Citius Helpdesk manager got me into the lawyers and law firms difficulties more than I could ever thought.My flair for law practice organisational transformation lead me into the Legal Management Program at the Georgetown University, in Washington DC. But then it was too soon to operate such changes in such a tiny market in Portugal: the future was yet to come! I didn’t hesitate to roll up the sleeves and attack challenges head-on: I then developed best practices, operational, sales and management skills at the retail business becoming the nation-wide operations manager at the Livraria Bertrand (61 stores across the country, including the oldest book store in the world according the Guinness Book of Records). All these steps make me very proud of my professional path and extensive background. Professional courses sometimes take us on unexpected paths and, finally, I returned to the business I like most. I currently offer IT solutions to impulse digital transformation from legal departments, in-house lawyers and law firms. The future is now!
