CurrentFollow the Chief Engineer’s standing orders. ⦁ Manage all engine spare parts:- Loading onboard of the spare parts delivered.- Record on Bass System (software used onboard) and identify each spare parts with its BASS number.- Check the conformity of the delivered parts with BASS Purchase order and report to Chief Engineer the received purchase order and their status (complete, incomplete, discrepancies)- Prepare the purchase order required by the Engine Officers.- Organize and store all spare parts inside the different vessel stores.- Inventories- Upon request, delivers spare to First, Hotel, Broadcast, Electronic Engineer, Chief Electrician and record the quantity and BASS number of the spare parts used. According to this record, each month, storekeeper check that the spare parts have been removed from BASS stock.⦁ Ensure inventory accuracy through conducting all inventory transactions related to shipping, receiving, job orders accurately and in timely manner.⦁ Maintain, track and forecast inventory on an ongoing basis. Provide variance explation if needed.⦁ Clean and maintain engine, chemical and lube oil stores in good condition.⦁ Assist in the execution of maintenance required by Bass system / Maintenance Manual. ⦁ Updates inventory as required by Chief / First Engineer. ⦁ Assist in maintaining all areas of the engine room and working area in a clean and safe condition. ⦁ Reports to the First Engineer any non-conformities or hazardous occurrences observed in the course of his duties. ⦁ Responsible for Hour counters on board (recorded monthly and added to Bass System). ⦁ Gas, Chemicals, Lube Oil consumption report and inventories each end of the month. ⦁ Is in charge of bunkering operations (bunkering documents). ⦁ Performs any additional duties as may required by Master or Chief Engineer.
