ChromeOS and Android devices are widely adopted in education and business space. Google provides a highly scalable cloud based solutions to enable these organizations to effectively manage large fleet of devices.I built the engineering organization for enterprise device management from ground up since 2011. Currently I am managing an engineering organization with 30+ software engineers working on enterprise cloud management for ChromeOS devices for schools and businesses.In 2015, Chromebooks surpassed all operating systems and became the top selling devices by US K-12 schools. Today, our team runs a major technical infrastructure for US education, and on an annual basis, more than 50% new computing device purchases of US K-12 school are Chromebooks managed by the system we built.

Chrome Web Store (http://chrome.google.com/webstore) enables users of Chrome browser to access web applications and browser extensions developed by 3rd party developers. The product was launched to users near the end of 2010. My team worked on on features targeting 3rd party developers including sign-up and payment.

Google enterprise marketplace ( http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace ) allows Google Apps customers from enterprises and educational institutions to acquire and use web applications developed by 3rd party developers.I wrote early designs for the project, and grew it to a team of five software developers. The project has been shipped to external customers in Q1 2010. The support of billing and payment of the marketplace was rolled out in Q4 2010.

During this period, my team and I developed a system to handle payment, ordering and license for applications. The platform supported flexible pricing, subscription models, and payment methods. It was also integrated with finance and accounting system for revenue recognition needs.I started the project as one of the two tech-leads of the team, and ramped the team to 9 engineers. By the time we transitioned to the project to Google Checkout and Google enterprise teams, the project had gone from zero revenue to processing revenue to virtually all apps including Google Apps Communication and Collaboration suite, Google Apps Security and Compliance suite, Gmail, Picasa, Google Voice, Google App Engine, and Google Apps Marketplace.

OuterBay Technologies, Inc. provides information lifecycle management solutions for applications and databases that help customers to monitor, forecast, and manage data growth in enterprise application environments. It was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in February 2006.During my career in OuterBay, I worked on several engineering projects.* Participated in the design and implementation of Encapsulated Archive product, which extracts data from relational database and write them as XML into storage systems* Implemented a data movement pipeline which enables efficient multi-stage processing of data, such as extraction, indexing, compression, encryption, and storage.* Built search and browse prototype for data archiving solutions.* Participated in technical due diligence process during acquisition of OuterBay Technologies by Hewlett Packard by installing and demoing OuterBay at an HP facility.

Amazon.com is the largest online retail website in the world. In the customer content group, we supported features such as user reviews, Listmania lists and So-You’d-Like-To (SYLT) Buying Guides. I developed and launched a number of features for the communities team including search feature for Listmania lists and So-You’d-Like-To buying guides, business intelligence metrics system, and a news aggregator that selects news RSS feeds from the web and display them on the Early Adopter pages.

Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) was an industrial software tool for building data warehousing and decision support systems. It had around 2000 customer sites near the end of my work for the product. Its primary use was to design and deploy terabyte-sized data warehouses that can extract data from run time systems, and transform and store them into multi-dimensional formats. I worked on the product from its beginning around 1998 and became one of the technical leaders in the development team.During the time, I worked on a number of features for the product:* led a team to develop features around dimensional modeling* led a team to develop configuration and extensibility features* participated in the implementation multi-user support, and implemented the hierarchical locking protocol.* designed and implemented relational modeling support* designed and implemented internationalization and localization support
