Monitor practices and changes within the banking industry and internal audit profession. Be able to respond, adapt, and consult with management regarding new regulations. Proactively interact with management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Works in the human resources, payroll, accounting payable department at corporate headquarters. Supports over 22,000 employees. Maintains expertise in the use and operation of all assigned financial application software and related business policy and procedures. Responds to requests for financial/business application software support. Provides financial application software education. Additional duties include, cross-training management and colleagues.Accountant I: Responsible for balancing multiple general ledgers, verifying the proper closing of accounts and took a proactive approach to problem solving. Operations Specialist II (DDA/SAV/CIF Maint): Primary responsibilities included performing account maintenance for direct deposit accounts, savings accounts, and customer information. Excelled in meeting the department’s task requirements, resolving Great Links incidents, and answering banker’s questions. After two months, I assumed responsibility for the department’s charge-off process while still completing daily department tasks required. Additionally, I revised and implemented procedures to simplify daily processes. Operations Specialist II (Exception Processing): Primary responsibilities include insufficient funds, returns, bill pay, stop pay, signature verification, positive pay. Additional responsibilities include UnPost, chargebacks, statements, notices, research, and disputes.
