Daniel J. Mueller, an early pioneer in high-performance CEO and executive coaching, is dedicated to developing the next generation of senior leaders. Since 1987, he has delivered nearly 50,000 hours of coaching to over 2,000 clients across venture capital-backed, private equity-owned, privately held, and public companies. Before focusing on executive coaching, Daniel served as CEO of a management training company, a business advisory firm, and an organizational development consultancy. Daniel’s proven coaching model, endorsed by top-tier clients, allows him to blend executive coaching, advising, and mentoring, seamlessly. Daniel excels in delivering customized coaching, and working one-on-one with executive teams and company groups. With a meteoric rise to the top of the executive coaching industry, Daniel faced a stark contrast between his outward success and internal struggle with imposter syndrome. To reconcile this dissonance, he turned to alcohol but ultimately found his path to recovery, achieving sobriety on March 4, 1996. Humbled and transformed by his journey, Daniel diligently rebuilt himself from the inside out. His experiences of success, failure, and redemption have deeply influenced his coaching philosophy, captured in his favorite saying, “I coach from a place of weakness, not strength.” From these trials emerged a proven methodology that empowers leaders and their teams to reach new heights—provided they are willing to put in the work. Daniel often says, “If I can do it, anyone can.”Driven by profound gratitude, Daniel founded several non-profits for faith-based leaders. In 2001, he launched Austin Christian Executives, in 2016 SOLIDpastors, and most recently, the Association of Christian Executives. Daniel is a board-certified coach with PCC credentials from the International Coach Federation and SCC credentials from Marshall Goldsmith’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching. Daniel has extensive training in executive team building, behavioral psychology, and executive career counseling. He certifies executive coaches, advisors, and mentors; regularly publishing and speaking on topics critical to peak individual and team performance. Daniel attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook and then The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in liberal arts and working his way through college as a personal trainer and fitness coach. Happily married to Patty, he has three daughters and four grandchildren. Primarily residing in Panama City, Panama, while also maintaining a residence in Austin, Texas.
