My journey began with personal training while serving with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, where I discovered the profound impact of fitness on performance.Upon joining the fire service, I merged my two passions into one by founding Start Up | Firefighter Performance. Our platform is rooted in the Tactical Athlete concept, providing tailored coaching programs specifically for firefighters. We are committed to enhancing awareness around fitness and health in the firefighting community, sharing the latest research through our accessible 'Research Centre.'Since 2023, I’ve been expanding my expertise through studies at the Open University, focusing on fitness and coaching methodologies. In 2024, I began writing blogs dedicated to firefighter performance, emphasising the critical role of fitness in our profession.I am passionate about empowering firefighters to prioritize their health and performance, ensuring they are always ready to serve.
