In all cases, the focus of our work was their leadership role in their firm and their responsibilities for leadership, management, staff development and business development.

As an adjunct faculty member, I taught "The Art and Science of Executive Coaching" in the Minneapolis campus of the graduate school of Saint Mary's. Started in networking sales in the Minneapolis / St. Paul market. Later I coordinated service team. Also did special projects in customer service. "Special projects" being turning around clients that wanted to blow us up. It was while at Connect Computer that I actually started coaching inside a business. Tom Kieffer asked me to be a morale coach to a couple of new employees who were struggling.

I started in HR at Target's Minneapolis HQ and moved on to join the End-User Computing team as a consultant and trainer. In that job, one bit I did was coach employees in using the many PC and mainframe programs available, especially people in Marketing and Finance. For a bit, I served as the FOCUS programmer for Target's first ever Minneapolis SWAT team.

What a joy and experience this was coaching the kids on this AAU swimming team. Of all the miracles in my life, getting this opportunity was one of the biggest. I grew up a lot.
