Having spent his entire 18 year career at Norcross High School, McMillan was instrumental in building the program into a national power and now maintains its status as one of the premiere prep programs in the United States. During his nine year tenure at head coach, Coach McMillan has compiled a 275-68 record and has won State Championships in Georgia’s highest classification in 2011 and 2013 and lead the 2017 and 2018 teams to a State Runner-Up finishes. Also during this time, McMillan’s teams reached the state Final Four (2014, 2019) and the state Elite 8 (2009, 2010, 2015). As an assistant coach at Norcross (2001-2008), McMillan was part of three additional State Championships (2006, 2007, 2008). McMillan has seen over 70 former players go on to play collegiate athletics, with twelve playing professionally.
