Created Birdie's Playhouse — an award-winning music project with a Latin twist for children ages 0 to 7. Our CD "Move Like An Animal" won a Parents' Choice Silver award and CD of the Year from Creative Child Magazine awards. Two of our songs are featured on Scholastic Education's 2020 "PreK on My Way" series for pre-schoolers.Our debut CD "The Wild World of Wildlife," won Gold from the National Association of Parenting Publications and a second Parents' Choice Award. We perform across the West coast and have entertained thousands of families at venues including: - The Skirball Cultural Center - Santa Monica Pier - The Natural History Museum- Grand Park- Kidspace Museum - New Children's Museum San Diego.

Founder, Singer and Band leader for BIRDIE MENDOZA, a Primo LATIN & JAZZ band for weddings, personal events and corporate events. Clients included the RITZ, MGM GRAND (Vegas), Gallo Wine, ABC NEWS, HBO & dozens of couples throughout southern California.Singer/ Songwriter of an alternative album PLASTIC GARDEN which was featured in the move BLISS and on alternative radio stations around the world. Available on Spotify under Artist name "Michele Moreno."Backup singer for Spain's RAPHAEL in the 1997-1998 tour across Spain and Latin America. Raphael is one of Spain's most well-known singers and has recorded over 50 albums, received over 300 gold discs, 49 platinum discs and one uranium disc for sales topping 50 million copies.

Produced digital media as a freelancer for small, startup studios, serving clients such as Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, New Line Cinema, Sony and more. Projects included: online education, animation, video games, broadcast footage and video installations. On some projects I served as an associate producer under an executive and for others I was Producer. Some of my favorite projects were a game based on the Japanese character Anpanman for young kids, a video installation for the COPIA wine museum in Napa Valley, and working in Australia on a video game based on the Jimmy Neutron TV series.

Served on a small team that oversaw creative development of webisodes for a 3D-animation series teaching English to young Japanese women. We were tasked with adding high creative value to our user's education with mini-episodes that made you the star character in vignettes such as "job hunting in Hollywood," "going on a first date" and more. Reporting directly to the VP of Creative Development, our team brainstormed and developed story ideas, original characters and wrote episodic treatments that won approval across departments. Our team received top marks for innovation and fun from focus groups conducted in Japan. As a creative, I also assisted with conceptual and functional design of the site and artistic development of the 3D-animated content. Served as in-house VO talent.Oversaw and edited scripts for the episodes and the wrote copy for promotional videos.

Researched, interviewed and wrote case studies on innovative companies for inclusion in two books by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Guy Kawaski: How to Drive Your Competition Crazy and Rules for Revolutionaries. Both books became international best-sellers.

Served as assistant editor for a monthly newsletter aimed at mid to senior-level managers and executives worldwide.To create an entire issue every month, on a 3-person team, we: - identified innovative business practices- brainstormed and finalized monthly themes and topics- secured and conducted interviews with cutting-edge managers and CEOs- wrote and edited world-class articles that cut to the heart of the story.All this had to be done at a level of quality that lived up to the reputation of our publisher Tom Peters: A bonafide business guru and co-author of the seminal work, "In Search of Excellence."Tom had to approve all story topics and articles. We were held to high standards because of his brand and the name of our newsletter, "On Achieving Excellence."
