We’ve opened this facility with one goal in mind: to support, encourage and train athletes of all ages, helping them to achieve their goals while developing leadership qualities both on the field and off.When it comes to athletic training, people are always touting “bigger, faster, stronger” and athletes aim for all three, however, what they may not understand is that often these goals are incompatible. While you are training to get bigger you may be compromising speed. At East Side, our approach is to train athletes to become more explosive by increasing strength and foot speed, as well as training the nervous system that controls muscular motion. We accomplish these goals by offering athletes training sessions that focus on plyometric training, ballistic core training, and some compound lifts (for high school and collegiate athletes). We find that when we focus on high intensity movements we develop strength as well as speed. When you are doing these complex movements the correct way you are also increasing core strength and body control, which will maximize your athletic output on the field.

Current Head Coach of the ESL 2020 Men's Lacrosse team ESL promotes the opportunity for every lacrosse player to reach his potential on and off the field, by providing:- Experienced coaching and support, from former players and coaches that have played and/or coach and are currently playing at D1 universities and some of the top tier high schools in the DC/Baltimore area.- Access to East Side Athletic Training (ESAT), a state of the art training facility that trains athletes from elementary age to the professional ranks.- Specific positional training, year round, with coaches and players, that specialize in the functional training that affords each athlete to compete at the highest level on the field.- The opportunity to play in the best leagues and tournaments in the nation, including Crabfeast Invitational, Beach Lax, Young Guns, and Dick’s Sportingoods National Championships.- Personalized Recruiting and Showcase instruction from coaches and players that have actually gone through the process (High School only)- Video and film study sessions, for both the individual and team concepts, including cutting edge video capture recording/editing technology.
