Responsibilities:• Negotiate prices and achieve PPV where possible on all bought and sub-contracted products • Responsible for maintaining SAP part number data on a regular basis. Extracting SAP data to produce spread sheet analysis for RFQ’s and other project related reports.• Management of usage and stock requirements and reduce the level/volume of inventory to meet the business objectives by analysing all reschedule out need and obtaining JIT materials and parts.• Own and manage the Buy Report on a daily basis to ensure orders are placed on time and aligned to the supplier’s accurate lead-time and prices forecast need and communicate to suppliers so that appropriate on tine delivery(OTD) is achieved, to meet planning/production requirements.• Actively manage the MRP exception message report as part of daily activities to ensure delivery requirements are adhered to with emphasis on rescheduling and expedite parts that are required to meet production scheduling.• Analyse each suppliers OTD and quality report trends to the Purchasing Manager; generate supplier’s KPI’s and service rates on a weekly basis.• Compile supplier’s SQA scorecards on a monthly basis and distribute to each supplier. Assess each supplier using the supplier development program; actively develop the supplier relationship to achieve continued OTD and 100% quality.• Develop robust contracts with each supplier to the advantage of the business, constantly manage the SLA’s and ensure suppliers adhere to the terms and conditions agreed within the contract.• Maintain the supplier approval register with correct data and participate in monthly reviews with the management team.• Actively completing benchmarking exercises to provide the best supplier, in terms of price, customer service and lead times and quality assurance.• Worked closely with engineering departments to obtain outline drawings and technical information to obtain quotes and place orders

Responsibilities:• Responsible for the purchasing (Far East/UK and European suppliers), stores, sub-assembly line and sub-contractors for Seldén Mast who is the largest yacht and dinghy spar manufacturer in the world and the UK market leader manufacturing company.• Run Stock Requisition Worksheet to ensure materials are purchased in due time for production and sales. Log any negative inventory by period and report them to production and sales. Ensure accurate due dates on all outstanding purchase orders. Confirm due date at time of order. Aggressive chase down on suppliers to expedite all overdue due orders and update due dates.• Reduce costs through re-sourcing and consolidate the supply of current items.• Communicate between sales and production any issues relating to shortages and quality.• Evaluate Reorder Quantity and Reorder Point on a regular basis.• Organise and consolidate shipments in the most cost effective manner, especially for all Far East based suppliers. Work together with sales on forecasting demand for Far East purchased Items.• Organise Sub Assembly operation with outworkers and internal suppliers.• Carry out rolling monthly stock takes to agreed matrix. Manage annual stock take. Achievements:• Creation of an internal requisition form to consolidate purchases per department at the right price, quality and lead times. • Improved communication of shortages between purchasing/stores and production and sales department by aggressive chase down of supplier’s items and purchase inter companies.• Maintained stock levels at a total of 25% of annual sales by managing overall stock level through smarter use of the purchasing system and just in time supply.• Improved relationships with suppliers and achieved cost savings for several purchased items.

• Oversee requisitions to ensure materials are purchased at best price, quality and in due time for production of project in hand (building a Super Sports Yacht 171” long, 300 Tonnes, bespoke built Series 1 - 3).• Obtain quotations with preferred suppliers, make price comparisons and check that quality and lead times are accurate and met. I have achieved price savings between 20% and 40% by re-sourcing suppliers.• Identify and deliver further opportunities to reduce overall supply chain costs conducting regular audits and reporting purchasing activity.• Manage suppliers relationships to achieve improvements in cost, quality and delivery in accordance with business KPI's.

Responsibilities:• Managing the purchasing for a portfolio of 13 Chemical / Oil Vessels and controlling a budget of approx £2.5m pa.• Responsible for the procurement process from obtaining quotes, operation of the purchase order system through to invoice checking. This included purchase of commodities and facilities. • Commodities: electrical, electronic, mechanical, chemical products, communication, navigation, safety equipment, office supplies, IT, stationery. Facilities: shipyard services, subcontracting suppliers for repair, annual services, class certification services.• Promoted to Management position to restructure the department and improve the procurement process.• Planned and organised the procurement and on time delivery of all materials for 4 New build 3500 tonne vessels per year mainly built in Turkey and Bulgaria. • Liaising with the Engineering Dept. to obtain outline drawings and technical information in order to obtain quotes and place orders with suppliers.• Providing management reports to the Board of Directors recommending future purchasing strategic direction and advising on current purchasing activities.• Reporting to the Technical Manager and managing 1 Purchasing Administrator and working within a team of 2 Electrical Superintendents and 3 technical Superintendents.Key Achievements• Established the purchasing department structure by analysing the flow of information, creation of new processes, trained ship’s staff on purchasing system which resulted in a timely processing of orders, improved internal and external communications, and improved status tracking reducing delivery times which lead to higher internal client satisfaction.• Achieved savings of 15%(2007) and 19%(2008) of the yearly purchasing budget of £2.5 million by carefully selecting prices, quality materials / services, suppliers and carefully controlling received invoices.
