This meant coordinating inputs from various stakeholders and distilling and interpreting information while ensuring the utmost confidentiality.• Project Management & Government Relations: I spearheaded the process for the Cabinet approval of pivotal Tourism policy papers, such as the Tourism Master Plan, Green Paper, and Implementation of the Tourism Equity Fund. I championed the Minister's efforts to advocate for a more welcoming visa regime from key source markets and initiatives to promote air access to South Africa. My work included organising the Minister's Dialogue on Air Access at Africa's Travel Indaba 2024. • International Relations and Marketing: In this role, I planned and executed the Ministerial Diplomatic Outreach to China in 2023, which saw the Minister engage directly with 200 Chinese tourism industry leaders in Beijing. I also led the Minister’s team in hosting the BRICS Tourism Minister's meeting in Cape Town and, throughout the year, supported her with key bilateral relations and participation at the G20 in India. These experiences honed my international relations and marketing skills.
