Child Wellbeing Program

• Child Safeguarding Policy and programming development, leadership, consultation, technical advice and training;• Review and evaluation of child protection frameworks; and• Development and integration of Child and Youth Risk Management frameworks into program design and delivery.• Child Safeguarding practice development of personnel and quality assurance through providing advice on improvements and risk management for service delivery.

I manage Child Protection Policy compliance for over 500 diverse organisations across Asia and the Pacific, and provide technical and operational advice for Child Protection Policy development. I am responsible for identifying and managing child protection risks across Scope Global’s portfolio of projects. I manage breaches in partner organisation’s Child Protection Policies and provide leadership, mentorship and support for staff and partners with child protection concerns. I have design and facilitate professional development workshops for organisations and child safeguarding sustainable performance improvement for organisations and staff.

Botswana

Based within the Dukwi UNHCR Refugee Camp, I was responsible for mainstreaming child protection across organisational policies, procedures and programs, implementing child protection standards and promoting child safe environments within the camp. Project management of the Gender Based Violence and Child Protection portfolios. Provided assessment, counselling and psychosocial support to children, youth and families and consultations, support and guidance to staff and Education Liaison Officers regarding issues effecting vulnerable children and youth within the camp. I drove the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for Camp stakeholders for Child Protection and Gender Based Violence. Developed and facilitated workshops on working with vulnerable children for stakeholders and established 3 youth parliaments to provide a platform for vulnerable children within the camp to voice their care and protection needs.

Philippines

Provided technical advice on risk management, child protection case management and standards for provision of out of home care for children. Developed and delivered protective behaviours workshops for children and conducted child safeguarding workshops for stakeholders. I designed and implemented a monitoring and evaluation framework to evaluate the centre’s standard of care and protection for children in need of special protection, in preparation for the organisations accreditation with the peak national authority. Designed and utilised child friendly interview techniques to obtain children’s views and wishes on their wellbeing, care and protection needs. Produced a final evaluation report and recommendations to enhance protection services and drive the development of new programs.
