Not only am I immersed in sales and customer service by managing from the sales floor, but I oversee sales, inventory and loss prevention at a close level. I maintain my own and oversee orders by others that are still due to the customer both in stock product that we carry in the store and special order merchandise that requires constant contact with vendors. I oversee Inventory by managing freight flow within my department. I keep track of inventory levels and place orders to meet customer demand. I am in contact with corporate buyers and merchandisers to keep track of inventory issues and change in stock product. I also manage the merchandising of stock product on the shelves including pricing integrity. It is also my responsibility to keep track of damaged product, right-offs, and theft to help the store control margin loss.
