21 years of experience and a lifetime of "Life is Good in Lubbock" has created a network of friends, a wonderful referral-based business, and blessings beyond measure for me and my family. 2013 brought Presidency of the Lubbock Association of Realtors. The Lubbock Association of Realtors has long been one of the pioneers of excellence not only in Texas but nationwide. LAR was one of the first Associations to create and implement a Multiple Listing Service. Information was compiled on a daily basis and published weekly by an in-house print shop for distribution to its members. Additionally a localized key service was shortly introduced taking local real estate to a new era. As technology advancements occurred, the LAR has long been a BETA tester for new software and applications. Recognized as an industry leader, Lubbock Association of Realtors continues to be on the "cutting edge" in real estate. Beyond our service to our clients, Lubbock Association of Realtors, protects the rights of all homeowners. LAR continually participates in local, state, and national political awareness campaigns, rallys, and direct communication with our politicians. The Lubbock community is well represented by its Realtor members. Community Service is also very important. Walk With Pride is a Realtor program to fit school age children with new shoes for the new schoolyear. In affiliation with the local South Plains Food Bank and Payless Shoe Source....Realtors supply a new pair of shoes and socks to the recipients. This year, our Governmental Affairs Committee via Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee supplied over 300 families with Turkeys from Praters Turkeys at Christmas time. (also affiliated through the South Plains Food Bank). United Way is another passion of the Realtor Association raising over $27,000 this past year for the 13 charitable organizations served by our local Untied Way. Life is Good in Lubbock!
