This position required a great deal of time-management. In most instances, I was simply given a list of tasks to complete for a certain day, and sent off on my own to do the work. This position was a test to my on-the-fly decision making skills, as well as my ability to maintain a calm and assertive attitude. While officiating, I was constantly under the pressure of making questionable calls and upsetting players, which gave me even more incentive to be attentive and assertive in everything I did. Learning all the techniques of officiating basketball was certainly a challenge, but I believe it was worth the time and effort, as acquiring any new skill is.- Served as a referee for intramural basketball games during the 2023 winter/spring season- Occasionally kept scorebook and operated the scoreboard and clock- Assisted with coordinating events, setting up equipment, and checking in players
