I converted an old PHP-based ERP to use next.js for an oil and gas services company. It consists of a field automation system using SCADA and PLCs to remotely monitor meter readings. The conversion yielded decreased app load times, easier maintenance and brought the app into the modern era.

Developed custom controls based on internal company specifications using React-Native and TypeScript that worked on mobile as well as the web. Working within a highly agile team, I played a vital role in crafting features for a customer-facing application, ensuring it met the highest standards of quality and performance. Also worked with another team to develop a POC for a mobile notifications project.

TxMQ is an IBM solutions provider. I helped develop different web and mobile solutions using AngularJS. I did various research projects using OpenAI and langchain and integrating IBM products.

Responsible for building and maintaining Node.js/Express APIs for a NFT/Blockchain based app. Wrote a JavaScript client SDK for said app that made interfacing with the API easier. Deployed via docker to AWS. Created the initial concept of using Unity to create a democratized XR experience app store.

As a solutions architect and consultant I work with my clients to develop custom solutions per their specific needs. These projects would range from simple websites, complex SaaS applications, mobile apps or leading a team of developers. I might also be required to jump into an existing project and do various back-end or front-end work or fix a few bugs on an as-needed basis. So far I have been involved in around 40 different projects of various types and project length. Technologies mostly centered around the MERN stack and its related technologies including React, React-Native, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, Apollo, TypeScript, etc. I practiced TDD using Jest and Enzyme were applicable. I worked databases such as MongoDB, PostGres and SQL Server. During this time I built and deployed 5 react-native mobile apps. I developed with some react platforms such as Gatsby.js and Next.js. Lead a team of developers to build a large scale ERP solution using RubyOnRails, Meteor and Backbone.js. Used Jenkins for CI/CD. User base included top level execs, middle management and general staff. Converted some Ruby scripts and VB.NET code over to the new system. Simplified access to complex oil/gas systems through a Rails API and a Meteor/Backbone UI. Web UI allowed offline access to certain areas of the app in the event connectivity was limited. Millions of records being accessed on a daily basis.

Internal website development for Warren Equipment and other corporate properties using ASP.NET, JQUery, HTML and CSS.

ASP.NET (VB.NET) and SQL Server web developer for an oil/gas ERP software company. I built and maintained their website and help system. The help system was a 10000+ document database that would automatically rebuild itself when new documents were added/updated/deleted. I used C# and regular expressions to allow the system to scan documents and and create links to other associated documents based a predefined set of keywords and links. Then the system would build and deploy the documents as static content to make searching faster.

Self-Employed web application developer/consultant. Designed and developed custom websites and web applications for my clients. Technologies included ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL and SQL Server. One of the best web apps that I built during this time was a custom real estate website for a local broker. At the time there was no MLS API that we could data from. The back-end would pull data from an FTP site that had a normal flat file which contained the MLS data. I would import the data using SQL Server DTS into the database. Then I built a custom UI using ASP.NET to allow people to search for local real estate listings. This was way before Zillow and the like.

This is where I officially started my career as a web developer. I helped build a first-of-its-kind air, car, hotel booking system using ColdFusion and SQL Server at the start of the dot-com era. This was way before Travelocity and Orbits, etc. Data was screen scraped off the "dumb terminal" Saber system. There was no API to call. It's pretty cool to think what we accomplished way back then.
