Network development plans by: • Providing a 5 year network development plan for each complex network by:- Updating the loads in the network database. - Performing load flow studies with the forecasted loads on the network. - Proposing changes to the network to enable the network to supply the forecasted loads. - Calculating the fault levels at each point in the network and confirming it does not exceed the ratings of the equipment at that point. - Investigating different network alternatives and proposing changes to the network to provide a capable network, while ensuring conformance to environmental and quality of supply policies. - Incorporating the Plant Refurbishment Plan. - Proposing alternative technologies. - Identifying the need for new servitudes and timeously motivating the obtaining of such servitudes.Customer application planning proposal by: • Producing Customer Application Planning Proposals • Ensuring the proposed loads are correctly modelled. • Defining the optimal network voltage and configuration to supply the proposed load. • Ensuring that the network needs of the stakeholders are satisfied in a cost effective way, in the best interest of Eskom.• Sub- regional prioritisation and project release by: - Release Projects by - Prioritising all the proposed capital projects for the sub region by using all the relevant data. - Releasing all every quarter for the two year rolling project plan with the relevant planning proposals and project motivations.- Release Quotations to the customerStakeholder liaison by: • Ensures stakeholder liaison and buy-in of all capital projects by • Attending regular meetings with the stakeholders
