I am a Psychologist Associate at National University Hospital, under the REACH (West) team at the Department of Psychological Medicine.In my pursuit to practice clinical work in the future, I had to privilege to gain valuable experience from various internships and volunteering platforms (public and private psychology clinics, non-profit mental health organisations, research work etc) and learn from inspiring individuals. In my years at NUS, I co-founded a student-led mental health advocacy movement for the NUS student community, SPECTRUM, to increase mental health literacy and share skills for engaging in safe conversations around mental health with peers. I was also a Residental Assistant in Tembusu College in my 3rsd and 4th years, where I learnt how to provide safe spaces through empathetic listening, and was trained in suicide prevention skillsets. Other than clinical work, I hope to improve the mental health landscape in youths by contributing to mental health education in schools and the community. For my hobbies, I am an avid dancer! Currently, contemporary dance is the art form I practise. To me, dance is a craft that grounds me internally and allows me to engage in introspective conversations and reflections through body and movement.
