My role within the team evolved as our team split off into a dedicated sister company, and I was charged with developing more modern web applications. This was when my passion for Web Development started. Since then, I have been responsible for: - Working with the design team to confirm and clarify that technical requirements aligned with the business requirements of projects. - Following SDLC best practices within Agile environment to produce rapid iterations for clients. - Working cooperatively with team members in different departments to achieve project goals, i.e. back-end development as well as Quality Assurance. - Researching emerging web technologies and recommending technologies and trends for possible incorporation into projects based on suitability and alignment to business goals. - Advocating for well-tested and documented, high quality code. - Mentoring junior team members and interns to achieve their goals or gain new knowledge.

I started at IT Dynamics straight our of college. It was a small team, so my duties overlapped with a few roles. This was a great learning experience at the time as it exposed me to different parts of business design.Responsibilities included: - Conceptualize, design, develop & implement Workflow processes. - Wrote, modified, and maintained software documentation and specifications. - Worked in a team to developed applications and software to specifications for clients. - Participated in requirements gathering and design development meetings. - Built databases and table structures for web applications

The most valuable skill I took away from my work as a Sales Assistant was my customer service skills. Being able to speak to customers is a crucial skill in any business. My other responsibilities included; cash and credit card sales, stock taking and some moderate D.I.Y work (the shop had just changed ownership and required some upgrades).
