Responsibilities: develop framework-level components for use in various projects; technologies include Asp.NET MVC / Web API, WS-Federation / Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), MarkLogic, HBase, SQL Server, SpecFlow + NUnit (BDD), Workflow Foundation (WF), WPF, SignalR, Express (Node.js), Sinatra (Ruby), Storm (Hadoop), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and several OSS libraries developed primarily to serve the needs of the organization while matching the open nature of their related technologies. Create a development standard for C#, and assist in implementing that standard across the organization. Work with affiliated recruiting agencies to develop a more effective screening system for C# developers. Provide high- to mid-level system designs for business-oriented information manipulation and exchange across multiple operational tiers. Provide proofs of concept for emerging technologies and systems. Mentor developers and guide development efforts in an Agile framework, utilizing the Scrum methodology with certain groups and the Kanban methodology with others.

Job responsibilities: Identify emerging technologies that will add value to the product while reducing cost to produce and maintain. Prove techniques and provide best practices and strategies for development group. Supplement guidance with framework-level components, rich documentation, audio/video tutorials, development support via intranet-hosted community site, and on-demand consultation.

· Work with project support staff to refine business requirements and control development scope · Monitor team progress to ensure milestones are met and communicate status to project stakeholders · Provide direct programming support and guidance to development staff · Contribute to project development wherever needed · Triage issues reported by SQA and assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems; · Gather requirements, design, implement, test, and deploy the Protective Life Update System (PLUS), the Protective Life Universal Installer, and the MoneyCharts distributed application· Develop internal programs and services to replace process redundancies throughout organization· Create specifications, process models and test cases for pending projects· Provide on-demand programming support and guidance to development staff
