My career started at Smith & Wesson in 1987. Responsibilities included working in assembly and manufacturing running manual and numeric controlled machines. In 1996, I made a career change into IT at Smith & Wesson starting as an AS400 operator, and then to AS400 admin/operations within three years. Continuing with the same AS400 admin/operations responsibilities, my work expanded into the network team configuring devices supported by the network, patching switches, software/hardware installations, troubleshooting and internal/remote network support throughout the company. I continued to build my skills and completed courses in Active Directory to create accounts and administer access to shares on the network. Additional responsibilities also included maintaining security camera systems and configuring network devices using DHCP with MAC address reservations on our V-LANS. In 2012 Smith & Wesson migrated to a new ERP system (SAP) that provided me the opportunity to learn SAP/Basis. New responsibilities included SAP/Basis support and troubleshooting, in addition to admin/operations support for the legacy AS400. I received my ITIL V3 Foundations certification in 2013. Presently I bring over 36.5 years of diverse IT experience in various areas of the industry – providing insight, understanding of how company intelligence is connected, and write procedures for organization of the company’s IT processes.
