Alex Scott Email and Phone Number
I typed my first code when I was 6, using q-basic and then got my first computer aged 9, which was an Atari ST. Around about the same time I also got a Spectrum and for some reason chose the machine with tape storage to learn programming - I ask myself why I did this too!I built my first website, aged 12, using Geocities, with my first published code being at the age of 14 in N64 magazine. My first major project wasn't until I was 15, when I setup a website for a local pirate radio station. At 16, I started a mechanics apprenticeship - I still to this day wonder why I did that, but it did leave me with valuable skills that have helped me greatly. Due to this, all of my development experience is self-taught.I then started coding themes and plugins for the original Xbox' XBMC and EvoX dashboards, quickly moving on to coding custom firmware for DVD players, mobile phones, set top boxes and more.At the age of 22, due to being self-taught I started to question my abilities as a programmer and ultimately decided to give it a break....... After the break, I'm now 27 and realising what a daft mistake it was to quit coding.I quickly got another project, which was an online radio station. This project got me back in the game and I created some wonderful projects over the coming years, with my code also being officially recognised and promoted by some big agencies and developers. It wasn't until I was 29 that I got my first actually full time job doing web design at EMS Internet, which was a great help to my skill set as it allowed me to broaden my experience and brush up on certain skills such as communication and team projects - all of my projects to this point where not team projects. This time at EMS Internet also helped me to stop doubting my abilities, set goals and achieve success.Currently working towards my next goal, which is to launch the service I've been building.
