As an engineer I grew up always looking at everything in life from a unique standpoint. The world around us constantly inspires me as I find myself evaluating the elegant designs and problem solutions many others carefully constructed. As a child I was constantly taking things apart to see how they worked, building with Legos, and got my start in coding by reverse engineering games on my TI-83 in math class.Programming was a world where the possibilities are endless. The removal of physical materials allows the mind to construct elaborate creations bound only by the limits of mental design. Writing code was one of my favorite learnings. Additionally I found that I have a natural desire and ability to lead. With nearly a decade of experience working and supervising in foodservice I built skillsets that allowed me to combine my passions and ascend into the role of a project manager. Each day is unique and a new challenge. The fast paced role behind a keyboard is not all that different than manning a kitchen during an unexpected rush of customers after the big game. Each project has its own problems and special design, from which I can rely on past learnings but also grow using new technologies to build bigger and better products. I don't think of my career as a job, but a hobby where I get to assist others in building their dreams into something real. Thoughts become an elegant system that is tangible and unique. I get to spend each day enjoying this complex but beautiful world doing something I love.
