Codie Carpenter is a Murdoch University graduate with a Bachelor in psychology (Bpsych 4yr) and minors in healthy psychology and organisational psychology and is currently volunteering in the healthcare industry for Angelhands as a trauma recovery angel. Angel hands is a non for profit organisation which provides support for primary and secondary victims of violent trauma with one on one counselling, group therapy and weekend retreats. Support for clients utilised a range of skills from CBT to response based counselling to help clients deal with their trauma and grief and develop healthy coping strategies for conditions like anxiety and depression.Raised in the south west of WA, Codie spent the last decade working in the customer service industry in a variety of roles such as bartender at a busy Perth nightclub, checkout operate at a local IGA and also site operator at BP Attadale. This range of experiences led to the development of good communication skills, conflict resolution and social skills that when combined with his friendly and outgoing personality makes Codie a valuable employee.Codie is pursuing a career in organisational psychology, seeking employment, provisional registration or volunteer work to help broaden his skills and experience.
