I am Codie Robertson, a motivated web designer and developer currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Web Design and Development at Washtenaw Community College with graduation set for May 2025. My experience with remote learning has sharpened my ability to work independently and manage tasks in a virtual environment. I know web page creation using HTML5 and CSS3. My pages are created in a text editor called sublime and published on a web server using an SFTP program. Major areas of emphasis include creating responsive design, valid web pages, building an appropriate document structure and using modern formatting techniques. Usability & Accessibility: I gained experience with methods for evaluating and improving website usability and accessibility on all devices. I can code accessible web development using ARIA, CSS pre-processors, and front-end frameworks.Advanced JavaScript​: I am proficient in advanced JavaScript, including Document Object Model and Browser Object Model, object-oriented programming using object literals, classical patterns, and anonymous functions. I have experience with Node.js, handling asynchronous operations using XHR, Promises, and Fetch API, as well as working with MySQL databases.Interfaced Design: Using Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, specifically photoshop I learned the fundamentals of how to design and structure web interfaces. My focus was on how to design web interfaces such as basic web pages and marketing collateral as well as how to prepare digital designs for production. User Research and Project Management: I know the principles and practices of website user research and project management. I conducted author user surveys and focus group scripts and know both waterfall and agile project management methodologies. I carried out these deliverables in a group setting and independently.User Experience: I know the principles and practices of user-centered design, as well as the fundamentals of information architecture and interface design for the web. Mostly on critical evaluation of existing websites and creating deliverables. I have a knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques pertaining to a variety of web topics such as content design, interface design, navigation, organization, labeling, search and site diagramming.Productivity Apps: I know how to use productivity applications, specifically Microsoft Suite, in both the traditional desktop and cloud environments.Technical Writing: I can write audience-focused documents such as memos, descriptions, instructions, reports, and presentations.
