I am extremely passionate about filmmaking, and I am always trying to grow my knowledge and experiences. I’m currently attending Ithaca College as a Cinema and Photography and hope to use my newfound knowledge to eventually find a career in the film or television production industry. During my time at Ithaca, I have had the opportunity to explore the sound design industry, and have become extremely interested in pursuing a career in sound design and editing.Throughout my life, my most important experiences have occurred within my time in Scouting. As an Eagle Scout, I’ve had many opportunities open up to me that I never would have thought possible. I’ve travelled the world, learned many new things, and done more than I ever thought myself capable of. I’ve had the privilege of being able to attend two major world scouting programs. In 2018, I attended the Blair Atholl International Jamborette in Scotland, where I lived and worked with 3,000 scouts from over 30 countries. During my time here, I received the White Cockade Award, which is granted to Scouts who exhibit outstanding teamwork and participation at the Jamborette. In 2019, I was able to attend the World Scouting Jamboree in West Virginia, which was attended by over 40,000 scouts from over 150 countries. Both events have greatly improved my understanding of other people and cultures, and improved my ability to communicate and work together with people who are drastically different from myself.I’ve been able to go through numerous training programs through my experiences in Scouting. One of the most important was the National Youth Leadership Training program, which was a week long program that placed scouts into groups of scouts that they did not know. Throughout the week, we learned together and improved both our individual skills and our teamwork capabilities. I’ve also had the honor of teaching the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops program, an introductory leadership training, on multiple occasions, including being the Lead Instructor on one occasion. One of my biggest accomplishments from my time in Scouting was my Eagle Scout service project. Over the course of a year, I planned and executed a project to restore a historic cemetery in Adams, New York. The cemetery is the burial site of veterans from numerous wars from American history, most notably the War of 1812. The project had involvement from over 30 volunteers, whom I had the honor of leading through over 150 hours of work.
