During 2014 - 2016 Amedia underwent a full digital transformation and rolled out paywalls and online registration solutions to all its newspapers. As Amedia has made the transition to digital revenue models, data has become a particularly important asset. As Data Strategist, my objective was to ensure the collection, protection and monetization of the right data for Amedia.Key responsibilities:- Customer Data Strategy: Identify strategic data types for the organization, based on the business value generated by respective data use cases; - Customer Journey Mapping. Define actions to improve customer service and overall experience of Amedia’s local news brands- Evaluate relevant technologies for data collection & integration (e.g. data management platforms) and drive vendor negociation processes;- Define & operationalize the roadmap for personalization of Amedia's products and services - Establish Data Privacy processes & routines at the Group level- Lobby for "data-as-an-asset" at all levels in the organization (journalists, editors, marketers, advertising sales, leaders)

My project roles included:- Project lead for an Information Governance initiative at a large Nordic bank (May 2011 - July 2011)- Advisor for establishing the company-wide enterprise data management strategy at a global provider of risk management services to (June 2010 - December 2010)- Development and test lead for a data warehouse and reporting solution built by a team of 9 developers in Bangalore, India for a Norwegian public services client (June 2009 – May 2010)- Team lead for the design and implementation of the Customer data strategy at a Danish provider of global transport and logistics services (November 2007-June 2009)Other responsibilities: Lead for the Master Data Management practice within the Accenture Information Management group in Norway – held both internal and external training sessions, responsible for relationship with data management software vendors; recruiting; sales: worked on several Information Strategy and Analytics sales processes for clients in all industries.
