Product/Brand ManagerAlchemy Bicycle Company Feb 2013 - PresentDenver, Co, UsI've done nearly everything there is to do under the roof at Alchemy. My first position was in sanding and finishing the frames to better help me understand the detail and craftsmanship that goes into our award winning bikes. Having previous paint experience I then moved onto the paint booth masking and spraying frames. As the company grew we began to produce our own carbon fiber tubing and I was asked to be in charge of tube production. This was a highly technical position in which I handcut every layer of carbon fiber that eventually was stacked in a specific schedule (each layer is the same shape however the fibers run at various angles). The attention to detail in this process was pivotal in creating the highest quality carbon bicycle tubing in the US. At the time I was one of only a few people making shaped carbon fiber bicycle tubes on American soil. Once I had mastered my craft I moved onto one of my many passions, sales. I was the Direct to Consumer/Inside Sales Manager for a total of 3.5 years during which time Alchemy's sales grew dramatically. My hands on, in depth knowledge of our manufacturing processes as well as my background in sales made me the premier representative for Alchemy for all trade shows, events, demos, presentations and employee/rep training. I leveraged my experience in both the manufacturing and sales departments at Alchemy in order to make the transition into Product/Brand Manager. I had acquired the manufacturing knowledge necessary to facilitate accurate, cross functional communications. My sales experience put me on the forefront of market trends, future products, and in depth technical understanding of the cycling industry. -
