Reporting to the Director and Chief Medical Officer, I am working within the Medical Affairs division of Health PEI. Primarily supporting Physicians and Leadership in the development of new programs, services and their Physician practices.

Through the Housing Services division of the Department of Social Development and Housing, I focus on adding new social housing inventory to PEI. I manage a series of programs that support private sector and non-profit corporations to develop housing solutions (seniors - family - supported living). I also work with internal government partners to build additional government-owned housing for the PEI Housing Corporation.

I have taken a one year secondment with the Department of Finance to help with a number of strategic priorities for government. My primary focus will be working on affordable housing and helping to coordinate activities and relay information across multiple government departments.

As a Research and Program Analyst, I coordinate the delivery of the Innovation Programs and conduct research, due diligence and policy implementation for the Corporation and the Department. The research portion could include labour market information, potential locations for new business establishment, technological assessment, business profiling and other needs that may arise within the division.

Provide general administrative, logistical and client service support to IPS related projects, management and staff. Participates in the development and delivery of market based services to maximize the advocacy of the IPS Programs to clients. Review grant applications and organize a peer review process based on developed guidelines.

I am an Investment Officer with Innovation PEI and LaunchPad PEI. My investment focus is on the ICT sector; responsibilities include working with local businesses and attracting new businesses to PEI. I also manage LaunchPad PEI, a tech incubator operating across Prince Edward Island and the Startup VISA program, an immigration program to attract entrepreneurs to Canada. I have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Prince Edward Island as well as many courses on fundraising and supporting startups.

The Startup Zone is an open concept business incubator located in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. The vision of the Startup Zone is not only to help foster entrepreneurship and business development but also bring together a like minded community and promote the startup ecosystem on PEI. As one of the founding members, I was responsible for the overall design of the space, project managed construction, recruited the initial cohort of companies, development of brand and website, recruitment of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, sourced funding, and provided market outreach.
