As the Controller for Arbor Builders, I am responsible for managing the accounting and finance departments of the company. Over the last two years, I have helped the company increase its average gross margin by 2% and increased NOI margin by 5%. I have created and maintained relationships with both private and institutional lenders, as well as negotiated real estate acquisitions and sales on behalf of the company. On the accounting side of things, I lead projects to create and integrate automated journal entry creation with our ERP system in addition to managing all phases of the accounting cycle for the company.

As a PACE Team Teaching Assistant I am responsible for serving as a resource for a team of first-year students for their nonprofit consulting project and case analysis. My duties also include helping the team resolve interpersonal conflicts as well as serve as the communication link to the course instructor.

As the Student-Manager of the Willamette Watch program, I am responsible for managing a team of approximately 20 student-employees who are tasked with patrolling campus and reporting any suspicious activity. My tasks in this position include conducting interviews and hiring new employees as well as managing shift schedules to retain a full time patrol.

As a campus safety student employee I simultaneously held three positions as a Willamette Watch Patrolman, Parking Enforcement Officer and Parking Booth Attendant. In each of these positions I was responsible for communicating directly with front office staff. Highlights in these roles include, leading the Parking Enforcement Team in productivity, issuing the most citations per semester as well as gaining valuable customer service skills as a Parking Booth Attendant.

The primary responsibility of this internship was to complete project based research and analysis in the areas of SCM software and fleet procurement decisions. In addition to these projects, the opportunity arose to take on additional analysis and creation projects. These supplementary projects included Google Site creation, exposure to Smartsheet, and an introduction to project management.

I served as the Ranch Manager at Smith & Smith Farms during summer months. During these periods, I was responsible for conducting haymaking operations on approximately 60 acres of farm ground as well as overseeing a heard of 40 red-angus cattle. Tasks included general planing, agricultural equipment maintenance, property up-keep, and livestock management.
