I am currently the supervisor and lead technician for a shift of two to four mechanics and electricians in the maintenance department. In conjunction with the maintenance manager and production supervisors we determine job priorities and assign tasks. I phone vendors or equipment manufacturers for technical support as necessary, then make repairs or assist my mechanics in making repairs. I make parts requests and equipment purchases through the maintenance manager. My goal is to prioritize and expedite equipment repairs in line with production requirements.

I perform repairs on printing presses, binders and all related systems. These machines are PC and PLC controlled, DC and AC drive powered high speed catalog and magazine production equipment. Other equipment includes, camera systems, displays, touchscreens and input devices , fluid pumping and distribution systems, chemical monitoring sensors, strapping machines, wrapping machines, conveyor systems, and all other electrically operated or computer controlled devices. I also perform mechanical repairs on these same systems depending on the priority of the situation and resources available. When on duty I am also normally tasked with contacting the manufacturer's technical support department for assistance or information related to the repair, especially during emergency breakdown repairs. Documenting the repair and parts used closes the job.

On as needed / available basis, I did work specializing in the installation and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems, communication systems and computer networks. This work is in Parking and Revenue Control Systems and Parking Guidance Systems. These were installations in various locations in the U.S.

Performed maintenance and repairs on the parking and revenue control systems at the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport.

Team leader in production of custom built electronic control cabinets for plastic injection molding machinery.

Perform maintenance and repairs to the continuous wave radars for the Hawk missile air defense systems.
