The combination of hard work, paired with the ability to drive results has been the secret to my career success. Growing up in Birmingham, AL with two hardworking parents, I learned to never be afraid to roll my sleeves up and do whatever it takes to get the job done. In college, I worked 3 jobs while taking a full course load, majoring in communication with a focus on telecommunication and film. In my senior year, I landed an internship in multimedia production with Pitts Media, and that’s when my career journey really took off. After graduation, I was hired as a Videographer/Editor at Pitts Media as their first official hire. I cut my teeth on the ground floor of the business, working behind the scenes and learning what it takes to produce great content. Since then, I’ve proudly worn many hats in the organization, and worked my way up from the most entry-level role, to Chief Editor, and ultimately to my current role as Director of Operations. Over the years, I’ve gained first-hand knowledge on how to effectively run and grow a business. Together, we have grown the team to 7 employees. I’ve gained experience on both the technical and operations sides of the business. On top of video production and photography, I’ve led functions across sales, customer service, and project management, leading both behind-the-scenes work and customer-facing operations. My detail-oriented nature paired with my ability to communicate and connect with customers has made me an effective operations manager. In 8 years, I’ve been a part of delivering at least 4,000 video assets. One thing I’ve really enjoyed is the diverse knowledge I’ve gained through deep-diving into a myriad of industries, serving customers across construction, manufacturing, higher education, trucking, e-commerce, and more. Looking forward, I’m eager to continue to play an integral part in growing the organization as a key decision-maker. I’ve grown to love mentoring and coaching others, giving them the tools to do their job well, and supporting them. I look forward to watching them come up behind me while we grow together and achieve our professional goals. Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my family - the people who inspire me to work hard every day. In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing and most recently gardening.
