Cody is Summa Cum Laude graduate of ASU's W.P. Carrey School of Business with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Minor in Psychology, and he is pursuing a master's degree in Architecture. At 21, he has dealt with conflict resolution, thriving through instability, adversity, and has been involved with entrepreneurship, management, and community activism his whole life through his family role models. From a young age, Cody learned business by observing and assisting all levels of workers at his family's business wherever he was needed. Cody eventually assisted with managing a non-profit gym and restructuring many of its operations from employee oversight and maintenance to marketing and customer relations. Cody assisted a non-profit transportation service founded to reduce drunk driving tragedies on and near the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Now he is running his own Interior Design firm (Ratio Design) while working on school and continuing to assist in his family's business and advising on an investment company's $12m asset portfolio. Before and through high school, Cody founded and operated his own business where he established his own web presence, social media, and designed business cards and uniforms. After entering a new, accelerated, dual-credit high school, Cody used his scarce free time to expand by hiring and mentoring peers older and younger than himself. When COVID shook up the world, Cody helped his family’s small businesses shift focus by liquidating $970,000 in wide-ranging assets. Cody completed mentorships and training with several attorneys to sharpen his business, legal, and negotiation acumen along with achieving a 99.86% in his business law course. This experience informs his handling of contractors and trade workers in his interior design practice and makes it possible to keep customers safe and secure throughout their projects.
