I bring 12+ years construction experience and 7+ years Substation experience. I currently provide Substation project management services on site. I manage sensitive, multiple disciplines, major/complex long-term projects for the customer. I'm responsible for understanding, administering, and managing a contract between SCE and the Contractor, and coordinate with various SCE stakeholders for the project. As a Construction Site Representative 3, I am technically proficient and manage multiple disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Wiring, and Grading Construction) and SAP’s on large scale projects. This calls for a strong working knowledge of all substation construction and construction management procedures, policies, standards, and specs.Prior to my current line of work, I worked as a IBEW Union contractor. I worked both on the Civil side and on the primary Electrical side both improving and building substation from 4 kv to 500 kv. Before that I spent time as a contractor in several companies doing a verity of work including: equipment operation, home remodel's, residential electric, commercial electric, sheet metal fabrication, and metal fabrication for stadium press boxes/catwalks/pop-up barriers/ect. One of my accomplishments that I am most proud of is my Military service. In my 6 years of active duty, I served as an interrogator and conducted source operations gathering intel to find and capture/eliminate high value enemy targets during the war on terror. I deployed to combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I then transferred to the California National Guard where they utilized my experience/training as a senior combative (hand to hand combat) instructor to train and certify troops in dozens of classes of both Combatives level 1 and 2. During this time, I continued my education in college earning degrees as I served. I was elected Vise President of Veterans Services and this allowed me to continue helping fellow service members as they entered/progressed through college.
