Joined right out of high school, returned and attended college. While attending college I decided I wanted to push myself farther and make myself a better leader, more disciplined, and experienced so I joined Army ROTC at BGSU. Skills that I have developed through this adventure are time management, discipline, self motivation, leadership, adaptability, supervision, team work, and many others.

While maintaining the same responsibilities as before, it now includes office manager duties. These include keeping track of all office supplies, ordering and shipping, and making sure all employees have the necessary items when traveling for business.

Within ROTC, I have held many leadership roles such as 1st Sergeant, Squad Leader, and PL. In my class of 28, I placed 4th overall while being awarded an Air Assault spot. These rankings come from a combination of points that include physical fitness score, ability to lead, grades, peer ratings, and understanding of tactics. From ROTC, you learn and practice many skills that are valuable not only in the Army, but everyday life.

Performed daily activities such as mulching, picking weeds, cutting grass, weed whipping, and edging. Would often be attached to a tree removal crew with the intentions of clearing a path for power lines. Conducted maintenance on equipment frequently on rain days such as oil changes, replacing fuel pumps, and scraping the mowing decks clean.

I worked on an estimating team writing estimates for different jobs, such as the Marathon Headquarters in Findlay, OH. Spent time in the field monitoring sites and making sure we were reaching timelines. Kept in contact with multiple owners of sites and relayed information. Some skills I developed while working for Alvada are scheduling, cost estimating, persuasion, and critical thinking.
