The primary business of the group includes the fabrication and maintenance of onshore and offshore oil and gas structures for the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the design and fabrication of maritime vessels. Responsibilities include contract drafting, reviews, negotiations, risk assessments as well as finalization of a wide range of contractual documents with values in excess of $300 million. Such documents include complex domestic and international prime contracts, sub-contracts, master service agreements, purchase orders, hold harmless agreements, confidentiality agreements, consortium agreements, teaming agreements, real estate agreements, asset sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, and vessel time charter agreements. Organizational responsibilities include ad hoc advice and support to project managers, purchasing managers, and other project team members in the interpretation of contractual terms, maintaining of prime contract and subcontract baselines as well as identification of entitlements to additional time and compensation. Work closely with project teams to ensure that contracts are administered properly from formation to close out. Provide direct support to outside counsel in the formation, execution and resolution of contractual claims, litigation, arbitration, mediation, mechanics liens, maritime liens, vessel seizures, workers compensation claims, personal injury claims, general liability claims, and other legal issues as they may arise. Serve as corporate representative in various depositions, mediations and trials.
