In the SAGE (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship) Club, students were given an opportunity to create and operate their own business that addresses a problem within their community. As Vice-President of Marketing, it was my duty to oversee all operations to better advertise and promote products the SAGE team was selling. The business ended up with over $4500 in sales and $1500 in profit while also raising awareness for the local food bank. Later, four other members and I presented our business venture at the SAGE Canada National Competitions receiving the National Runner Up for the Social Enterprise Business Category title for the 2014 year as well as the Best Start-Up of the year award.
