During my time in this role, I worked as a part of the Civil structures Maintenance team. My key duties for this role were creating a heatmap of fencing defects on the rail network, to better inform maintenance strategies. Additionally, I preformed an audit of 650 level 2 defects, ensuring they were correct to report, and recorded correctly by subcontractors. This role further enhanced my teamwork and communication abilities, and gave me valuable experience within the rail industry, as well as the Public Sector. Within this role, I functioned as a member of the small maintenance team, completing a large number of small, quality of life improvements during my time at the PTA.

During my time at Eptec, my primary duties were assisting in the refurbishment project for the HMAS Perth, namely maintaining a register of 1500 fittings that had been removed and distributed for repair to multiple contractors depending on their nature. This part of the role gave me valuable experience engaging with clients and with subcontractors. A large part of this role was stakeholder engagement, as many different companies were apart of this refurbishment. In addition to this, I also prepared many ITPs and SWMS, and assisted in updating documentation such as equipment registers.

Working as a vacation student at Barminco allowed me to experience the mining industry from the bottom upwards. The role required me to work as a level 1 operator, acting as a functional member of the shift for underground operations. This role gave me valuable teamwork and experience in WA's biggest industry. The role brought into focus the strong requirements for safety, and allowed me to see first hand how a mine operates.

This role required me to independently operate a grain receival point, keeping it to a high standard of cleanliness. This role was often undertaken in high temperatures and required strict adherence to safety instructions and use of PPE.
