Hello, my name is Cody Leonard and I have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Milligan University in May 2022. I was previously a student at Northeast State Community College where I completed my Associates of Science with a concentration in Engineering. While at Northeast State Community College, I was offered an internship position with Ford, Bacon, & Davis, an engineering contractor for Eastman Chemical Company. This internship turned into a CO-OP opportunity where I could continue working part-time while seeking my Engineering degree. This has been such a blessed opportunity for me to get some real-world application and experience alongside my university education. Post-graduation, I moved on to work for Edgewater Technical Associates a U.S. DOE nuclear operations subcontractor supporting BWXT as a HVAC Engineer. In this position I have become responsible for all aspects of the ventilation and HVAC design used on the new HEU conversion and purification line at Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin, Tn. Some of my responsibilities include managing the design of the process scrubber and exhaust stack, development of P&IDS, ventilation diagrams, general arrangement drawings, fan sizing, calculation development, operation narratives, and vent hood design. I am well versed in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Solidworks, and Inventor.
