The Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Nashville, was a unique and educational expereince. While working at this property, I was participating in Marriott International's Manager in Training Program known as the Voyage Program. Working at this property I was able to rotate through the various departments within the hotel including, Front Desk, Housekeeping, and the fully licensed Starbucks. This oppurtunity provided me a chance to gain hands on experience, knowledge and networking expereinces throughout the year. While working at the Courtyard in Nashville, I was asked to help assist the Courtyard by Marriott on St. Charles in New Orleans, LA during Mardi Gras. As I assisted the Courtyard in New Orleans, I was called to help in numerous of positions raging from laundry, housekeeping, front desk, and support staff in the hotels resturuant. This oppurtunity provided me a chance to network, but most importantly adaptability. The Voager Program provided me an oppurtunity to network, training, expereince and a chance to use my skills that I have developed.

During my time at the Four Points by Sheraton, I was responsible making sure that our guest had quality service during their stay. My role within the company was primarily Front Desk Agent, however I would assist other departments as needed. There where numerous occasions that I would work with the Banquets Department to provide extra support during large functions such as the military balls and auctions that took place. Occasionally, I would also help housekeeping as needed in order to stay ahead of laundry. In addition to helping in various departments, I was also a part of the team that assisted in the merge of Marriott and Starwood Properties. I was responsible for transmitting guest information from Starwood's Lightspeed to Marriott's Lightspeed and preparing everything for the night auditor to run reports, prior to the system updating.

I had the great privilege to intern with Advisors Excel's, Special Events Team and work closely with the Food and Beverage Director. During my time with Advisors Excel I was able to work closely with the Event Planners on planning events the company would host. These events included recruitment events, seminars, one on one meetings and in house company meetings.
