Director Of Operations - Iron Range Engineering Bell
Current
Ice Hockey Official
CurrentOne of the most exciting aspects of this position is the opportunity to lead and mentor others in the organization as I work with new officials in their on and off-ice development. Through performing as an official, I continue to gain experience dealing with confrontational situations and have become proficient in implementing conflict management skills. Through many performance evaluations, supervisors have explicitly stated that I conduct myself as both an ethical and professional individual.
Bell Program Coordinator Of Facilitators
Through working as the Coordinator of Facilitators at the Bell Program, I supervised a team of talented and motivated working engineers who share similar values and have the same interests in bettering engineering education. Our team strives to provide the best possible guidance to high performing student engineers as they develop as technical, design-oriented, and professional working engineers. Some other aspects of this role included traveling nationally to recruit students, building a collaborative and inclusive culture, and building relationships with both community colleges and engineering industry.
Development Team Coordinator
Iron Range Engineering had been working on developing a new engineering program that would meet the needs of students from around the country. One of the largest aspects of developing this new program was finding the target audience of community college students across the country who are in need of a co-op based program and gauging their level of interest. To gauge this interest, over a dozen visits were made to different community colleges around the country as presentations were given and ideas were shared with the students, faculty members, and often the department chair. Another responsibility of this position was coordinating and executing faculty summit meetings with professors and department chairs from many different parts of the country. A faculty summit was held in January of 2018 where around 40 professionals traveled to northern Minnesota to participate in the different aspects of development in this new program. Multiple student experience events were also coordinated and executed as over 100 community college students from across the country visited Iron Range Engineering to experience what it would be like to be a student enrolled in the new Bell Program. The level of student interest in this new program is very high, and this program officially began on August 5th, 2019.

Productivity projects consisted of reviewing and analyzing daily production data and modifying tools to improve paper bursts. Lastly, the quality projects were done using statistics to determine long term trends and predict any future potential changes.

Worked alongside Hydrologic Technicians across northern Minnesota and gained an understanding of water quality.
