I work with a major customer for E.W. Wylie ensuring that we are offering all of our support and services for their logistics and transportation needs. I am currently in the glass division where our trucks haul large stoce glass in all of the lower 48 states and Canada. It is a fast paced, rewarding job at a company that truly cares for their employees. The main focus of this role is to provide support to management at multiple properties (The Boiler Room, The Boiler Room Wahpeton, Barbacoa, Twist, The Otter, Great Plains Hospitality) through being a knowledge resource, offering guidance, and giving direction, as well as ensuring best practices are being followed and developed at all properties. Administrative functions include working through QuickBooks, updating financial records, working through end of month processes, coordinating payroll for all six businesses in our group, human resource functions, data entry, critical data analysis, and communicating with dozens of service providers.Other aspects of this position include building relationships with city leaders, having a full and complete understanding of state and local ordinances, as well as upcoming legislative changes and understanding their potential effects, collaborating with local businesses and finding ways to help each other succeed.Other important functions are focusing on cost analysis and and insuring that we are sourcing quality, cost effective, responsible products and supplies, negotiating better pricing with appropriate vendors, identifying and eliminating expense when possible and appropriate, profit and loss analysis, ensuring brand standards and customer service standards are being met.

In addition to providing overall management and direction to all team members of Barbacoa, I focus on many areas to insure the success of our company. These include: administrative functions including cash handling, invoice coding, payroll, scheduling, human resource functions, new hire training and team member development through ongoing in house training; providing management support to all management presence, as well as being a knowledge resource for any management and front line employees, providing operational support when needed; creating and executing team member training to include orientation and on going staff training sessions, including monthly meetings and product training; ensuring sense of community and a sense of an open, relaxed culture for employees to feel comfortable in, to get the best out of all employees; networking with vendors, customers, and community members to gain a stronger sense of community; overall cost analysis and profitability management;ensuring brand standards and customer service standards are being met.
