Before even reaching a year at Siliconera.com, I was promoted to a part-time staff writer role for the site. I now continue most of my similar duties from before, like writing and reviewing games, anime, manga, and more, but with a dedicated role and included benefits. Since this is part-time, I am free to still work at other sites.

I edit and add images and other media to existing articles to ensure they are up to standards. I still continue to edit video game coverage for the site, but have branched out to also edit automotive, general entertainment, lifestyle, and financial content for the site and MSN.

I make frequent updates to older articles for the site and keep them up-to-date. I was the only person to reach 250,000 views with a single video game-themed article. Update: I moved away from writing for WoG in June 2024 to focus solely on editing for the site’s general entertainment, automotive, video game, lifestyle, and financial verticals.

I reviewed, edited, and wrote articles about games, anime, manga, books, TV shows, movies, and more here. I had the pleasure of covering some of the largest games prior to and at launch, such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. Update: I made the very difficult to decision to leave Destructoid in July 2024, due to company policies, in order to pursue a more dedicated part-time position at Destructoid’s sister site, Siliconera. I continue to make some of the same content I did here but now at Siliconera.com.

I had the pleasure of working alongside the Humble Bundle publishing label and commerce content team briefly via contract and the company Portent. I wrote and created a fair bit of content each month to be posted on the Humble Bundle store and blog to promote various games. The entire content team at the label was laid off at the same time, which ended my contract in May 2024. Unfortunately, this happened just as the content I was creating was starting to dominate the website and SERP rankings for SEO.

Helped launch, create, and edit content for multiple websites themed around gaming, anime, manga, and more. I was able to help sites I launched like POKUniverse (Pokemon), RPGInformer, PersonaFans, MangaInsider, and TheBloxClub (Roblox) to reach more than a million monthly unique visitors during my time here. I also helped manage other freelancers around the world and edited their content to site standards and SEO.Unfortunately, Venture 4th Media moved in a different direction due to the changes from the Google updates in 2023-2024 and put a halt to all of its sites in early 2024.
