CurrentAs the Deputy Director of Technology Scouting and Vetting, I lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and integrate innovative technologies that align with the Department of Defense’s goals. My responsibilities include managing a team that conducts in-depth research across various industries, ensuring our strategic decisions are data-driven.I oversee technology scouting projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned with our objectives. Collaboration with other departments is essential, as it allows us to leverage internal expertise to develop comprehensive strategies for our customers.A key part of my role involves expanding and managing our referral network, building relationships with venture capital firms and other partners to keep our organization at the forefront of innovation. I regularly produce Technology Summary Reports, offering insights on market trends and emerging technologies to guide strategic decisions.I also focus on meticulous data management, ensuring research findings and referral network data are well-organized and easily accessible. Training and development are crucial, as I ensure our team stays updated with the latest methodologies. Additionally, I lead the curation and showcasing of solutions to government stakeholders, coordinating demonstrations of promising technologies.My role is vital in driving innovation, ensuring we integrate the best technologies to meet our strategic goals and advance national defense objectives.
